It's not often that something happens in my little hometown that makes me concerned enough to blog about it. After dozens of reports in Rockford last night of walls shaking and an explosion that was heard over a 200 mile radius that I'm personally aware of, I admit it, I'm curious. Reports flooded in to the Chilton County 911 office yesterday, reportedly over a 100 calls. This was the main conversation at T-ball practice last night, and I think an explanation is going to have to come forth.
According to the experts, this was not an earthquake. The possibility of a sonic boom is there, but there is no proof in that direction either. It was suggested that maybe they were releasing the pressure off the gas line, but I'm not sure that kind of scenario would be heard in such a widespread area. So just what did happen in Alabama yesterday?
What we know is that walls were shaking, and the sound covered a large area of land. Stop in and give your thoughts and opinions. I wish that someone had recorded this, but as of this time no one has come forth with a recording of the event. If you have an ideas, and please no it's the end of the world scenarios, what type of natural events would cause such a disturbance, I'd like to hear about it.

You would think that someone somewhere would know what happened, and as far as a sonic boom, I don't believe that it would rattle windows and shake homes 200 miles away. It sounded more like a bomb going off. We all know that wasn't what happened cause someone would have noticed black smoke from that event. I agree with you Michelle, we have the right to know what happened yesterday, March 6th around 4:00 PM. There needs to be an investigation done on this to give the people of Alabama some answers! So wake up Mayers & Congressmen, show us why we voted you into office!!!
