Alabama Housewife Gives Up The Apron And Writes A Bestselling BDSM Romance
Hughes and her co-author, Karl Jones (from the United Kingdom), took their lead from one of the hottest contemporary romances of 2012. The writing duo added in a dungeon, with the top ten sexual fantasies women have and reviewers claim it made that other book read like a children's bedtime story. When we asked Hughes why she chose to write such a strong sexual take on romance, she stated that she wanted her readers to feel shocked and what better way to get their attention than with what sells best, sex.
Sitting down with Hughes, one might consider that she's a member of the P.T.O, not a writer of extreme BDSM romance. When asked what her children thought about the subject of her book, Hughes informed us that they weren't old enough to read books of this nature. She continued by stating, "They know the mother who makes them brownies, my personal fantasies are part of a world I only share with readers, even my husband would be shocked. Hughes stated that her husband was not allowed to read her work.
What's next for the Alabama housewife? Hughes told us that she's working on the sequel to 10 Nights, and currently finishing her Tears of Crimson Vampire series. When she's not writing she also promotes other authors with Book Promotion with Tears of Crimson, a company she founded in 2009. In this new age of self-published authors, will we see an outpouring of bored housewives giving up the apron for sexy book writing? 2013 will be the year to watch.
About Tears of Crimson: Tears of Crimson is a private publisher of dark literature.
